Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy release date confirmed

An interview with Activision and Vicarious Visions has today confirmed that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be released on 30th June 2017.

The game, which is set to be an AAA Remaster of the original three Crash Bandicoot games including Crash Bandicoot: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. The remaster is part of a revival for the eponymous orange bandicoot, following his return to the Skylanders franchise last year, which also stars Spyro the Dragon.

Art Lead at Vicarious Visions, Dustin King commented on designing the remaster, saying: ‘We strive to recreate each level so it looks and feels like the original, we also want to make sure that environments are fun, colorful, and read well in the fast-paced action with the addition of the new technology we are using.’

In addition, when asked about whether the game was a remake or remaster, Dan Tanguay, Game Director at Activision stated: ‘This is a AAA remaster. We’re giving this the love and attention to detail that we pay to all of our AAA games.’ He added, ‘We’re building it using the original level geometry so that it plays as close to the original as possible. We’ve also referred to this as a remaster plus, as we are adding new features that we think the fans are going to love!’

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is due to be released on 30th June 2017 for Playstation 4. Check out the trailer for the game below:
