Kasabian revealed as Reading and Leeds Festival’s second headliner

Kasabian have been revealed as the second headliner for Leeds and Reading Festival 2017.

A UK festival exclusive, the Leicester rock group returned to the UK music scene with a promise of a new album coming this spring. Having last headlined in 2012 alongside The Cure and the Foo Fighters, the band have commented via the Reading and Leeds website: ‘It’s been five years, and as a band we have come a long way since then. We’re looking forward to playing tunes from the new record and bringing the mosh pit to Reading & Leeds Festival!’.

The Irish indie group Two Door Cinema Club have also been confirmed for the festival. It iwill be their first live shows since releasing their new album Gameshow towards the end of last year. Two Door Cinema Club also expressed delight via their official social media adding, ‘It’s so good to be back at , it’s always a highlight of our Summer’.

Other acts announced today were: Fatboy Slim, Rat Boy, Flume, Jimmy Eat World, Circa Waves, Wiley and The Amity Affliction.These acts join headliners Muse, and other acts such as Bastille and Major Lazer for the bank holiday festival.
