Sterling K. Brown, famous for his role Christopher Darden in The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, has joined the upcoming Marvel film, which stars Chadwick Boseman as the titular role.

He was critically acclaimed in the above role, and as a result scooped up a Golden Globe nomination as well as an Emmy award, not to mention recognition from the Screen Actors Guild and NAACP Image award nominations. The veteran stage and screen performer has also had critical and commercial success in This Is Us, in which he plays Randall Pearson.

Black Panther is set to explore an untapped element of the Marvel Universe, and it is speculated that it will focus on T’Challa working alongside The Winter Soldier (Bucky Barnes) in order to fulfil his destiny as protector and King of Wakanda, whilst also honing the true powers of his super alter ego.

In the film, Brown will play N’Jobu, who is a figure from T’Challa aka Black Panther’s past. Besides this, all details are being closely guarded about his role in the plot, and the entire plot of the film is very hazy, with release over a year away.

Black Panther is released in cinemas on 16th February 2018. Check out Sterling K. Brown in The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story below:
