First trailer for Spiderman: Homecoming released- Watch

The first trailer for next year’s Spiderman: Homecoming is here. The film is the latest of many Spiderman reboots, and the webslinger’s first solo film to feature as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film, starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, is due to arrive in cinemas next summer. Instead of another origin story, this film starts with Parker already having taken on the role of Spiderman- as seen in Captain America: Civil War. Unlike previous screen incarnations of the character, Holland is actually a teenage actor playing a teenager, thus creating a very different tone of the character than Toby Maguire or Andrew Garfield’s interpretation.

Homecoming marks the start of a new creative partnership between Sony and Marvel. The trailer, which debuted on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show, shows a more young adult, light-hearted film than some other Spiderman films, with Holland’s Parker embodying much of the comic book character’s cheekiness, which was evident in Captain America: Civil War. The trailer also introduces characters such as Zendaya’s (who is rumoured to be playing Mary Jane) as well as a glimpse of Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).

Spiderman: Homecoming is due to be released in cinemas on 7th July 2017. Watch the new trailer below.

You know you’re too invested in the MCU when the first thing you notice is that the Thor mask has his trademark helmet, despite it never being seen on earth in this universe. The question is: Will i re-watch it more than a breath of the wild trailer?
