On the morning of 26th October, Mary Berry surprised all in an interview with The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, when she announced her future hopes of working again with Bake Off’s Mel and Sue.
Although nothing is yet set in stone, Berry hinted of a potential reunion stating: “We haven’t actually got together, but we will do something because we’re good pals, and who knows what it will be.”
Her interview comes at a time of mass change for the hit BBC show, following the announcement of its Channel 4 takeover. Many fans were saddened to hear that co-star Paul Hollywood would be the only one to follow the programme to its new home.
In an attempt to diminish any rumours, Mary goes on to state: “We haven’t been approached. We would love to do something together but we’ll just have to wait and see. I just love their humour.”
Fans of the show will have to wait for any future showstoppers from the The Great British Bake Off stars.
