Harry Judd comments on McBusted fan response

According to McFly’s drummer Harry Judd, grouping up with Busted was a move hated by fans. They joined Busted’s Matt Willis and James Bourne to make McBusted in 2013, going on a tour, and releasing their self-titled debut album in December 2014.

Busted’s Charlie Simpson has recently rejoined Busted to make a reunion album. Despite some clamours for McBusted to return and tour again, Judd appeared to pour water on these claims saying how despite McBusted being hugely successful, it “quietly fizzled out.”

Judd did appear to suggest that the majority of fans reacted poorly to the decision to form the supergroup, saying: “It’s been a while since we have just been McFly and a lot of out fans are frustrated. Although McBusted has been a success, a lot of McFly fans were like, ‘I hate McBusted!'”

Busted’s first album in 13 years will be out on November 11th via East/West Records. Listen to some of the supergroup’s music below:
