Fans of Nashville may be sad to hear that Will Chase and Aubrey Peeples, known on the show for their characters Luke Wheeler and Layla Grant, have been cut from the popular country music show.
In an unsurprising shake up following the show’s move to CMT, Chase and Peeples have been cut as season regulars. This move has been predicted for a while as both Wheeler and Grant’s storylines have been drying up in recent seasons following Wheelers unsuccessful engagement to Rayna, and Grant’s failed revenge plot on Julliette.
While it has been confirmed that Chase and Peeples are no longer season regulars, fans will be happy to hear that their characters have not been completely written off. Indeed, it has been suggested that they might be able to come back for brief visits to the show if their schedules allow.
Nashville recently moved to CMT after ABC cancelled the show in May. Cast shake-ups are common in such moves and so these might not be the last characters to leave the show and so fans will have to wait to see if their favourite actors will be following the show to CMT, although presently most of the main cast seem positive about the move.
The main cast of Nashville includes Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio. Season 4 of Nashville will be released in the UK this summer on Sky Living.
