Singer-songwriter Tom Mann signs with SonyATV Music

Southampton lad Tom Mann yesterday (13th June 2016) revealed that he has signed a record deal with SonyATV Music, the world’s largest publisher of music. The 22-year old, now based in London, revealed the news to his 165k Twitter followers.

Mann first gained public interest in 2013 as a hopeful on the X Factor, unfortunately falling just short of a place on one of the six chairs available in Louis Walsh’s category at Bootcamp. Not to be deterred however, he returned the following year, and was one of eight soloists to be put into a boyband who became Stereo Kicks; the group which eventually finished fifth in season 11 of the talent contest.

Stereo Kicks released their debut and only single entitled ‘Love Me So‘ in June of last year, which was written by Tom, and managed a top 40 charting in the UK singles charts. However, just a month later, the group announced their split, cause by having failed to secure a major record deal.

Mann has been working tirelessly in the studio and writing music since last summer, and has justly been rewarded for his hard work and talent by landing a record deal with one of the largest labels in the world. This is undoubtedly just the beginning of a long and successful journey, and we wish him the best.
