As unbelievable as it seems, it is now 37 years since the Alien franchise first burst onto our screens and terrified us.
To celebrate this landmark, we have our first sneak peek at the Prometheus sequel/Alien prequel and in particular, our main protagonist Daniels, who will be played by Katherine Waterston.
Although only one shot was released, the behind-the-scenes image shows a short-haired Waterston staring towards an ominous glow in the distance with the caption ‘nowhere to run.’ Although plot details regarding Ridley Scott’s sci-fi horror-thriller are scarce, we do know that Waterston plays Daniels – a crew member on the colony ship Covenant, who is part of the crew that become entrapped on the distant utopian planet hiding dark secrets and inhabited only by the android David-8 (a role Michael Fassbender is reprising from Prometheus).
Besides Fassbender and Waterston, other cast members of Alien: Covenant include Demian Bichir, Jussie Smollet, Danny McBride, Amy Seimetz, Callie Hernandez and Carmen Ejogo. The film is set to be released on 4th August 2017.
