Chris Evans promotes potential Spider-Man: Homecoming cameo

They might have been busy trying to tear each out other’s throats during box office smash Civil War, but Chris Evans is keen for Captain America to reunite with Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man in an upcoming Marvel film.

An interview with MTV International provided Evans the chance to voice which Marvel releases he would most like to see the First Avenger pop up in, and he was unsurprisingly quick to sound out two promising potential opportunities.

The Captain America actor said ‘Guardians [Of the Galaxy Vol. 2] would be fun, wouldn’t it?’, but admitted that an interstellar trip for the Cap would be ‘very outer-spacey’, and that his character was ‘more Earth-bound’ than some other superheroes.

Evans was much more positive when it came to discussing a potential cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming, saying the upcoming blockbuster was going to be ‘fantastic’ with ‘great actor’ Tom Holland playing the titular role, and that it might be ‘fun to pop into.’

Homecoming stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, with Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as Tony Stark’s ‘Iron Man’, and Marisa Tomei appearing as Aunt May. Michael Keaton is apparently in talks to play the unnamed villain.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts and arrives in theatres July 2017.
