Red Hot Chili Peppers have cancelled another show at short notice due to their frontman Anthony Kiedis being hospitalized with intestinal flu.

The band cancelled their appearance on Saturday at Irvine Meadows Ampitheater in California due to Kiedis being rushed to hospital. A spokesman for the band has stated that Kiedis’ hospital visit was due to “complications from the intestinal flu” but that he “is expected to make a full recovery.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers were due to play a show on Tuesday in Los Angeles, which has now also been cancelled.

Following their cancelled appearance on Saturday, drummer Chad Smith tweeted: “No one’s more disappointed than us that we couldn’t perform tonight. Sending love and speedy recovery to my brother Anthony.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers are also due to headline several festivals across the summer, including Reading and Leeds and T in the Park in the UK.
