After winning our hearts in Daredevil‘s highly anticipated second season, Frank Castle, A.K.A The Punisher, is officially getting his own series on Netflix.
The streaming service confirmed the news on Friday (29th April), revealing that Jon Bernthal would return to reprise the role. Hannibal‘s Steve Lightfoot has also been confirmed as the spin-off’s showrunner.
The Punisher series will be the sixth collaboration between Marvel and Netflix, airing somewhere in between other series in the pipeline, including Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones: Season 2 and The Defenders.
