The University of Southampton’s very own student-lead television station, SUSUtv has won two Highly Commended prizes at this year’s NaSTA awards.

NaSTA (The National Student Television Association) is a unique representative body designed and governed by student television, for student television – with the very first awards ceremony dating back to 1973. SUSUtv have won several awards in previous years, and with their wins tonight, 2016 has proven to be no exception.

The station won the Highly Commended award for Best Live in recognition of their coverage of this year’s SUSU Election Night Live.

Meanwhile, Will Garside won the Highly Commended award for Best Documentary with his historical film, Radar – Britain’s Shield – which also recently won the award for Best Direction at our own Student Film Festival.

From one SUSU media group to another, congratulations on your wins SUSUtv!
