Bob Dylan announces new album and US tour

Bob Dylan has announced new details in regards to his upcoming album, Fallen Angels, as well as a string of US tour dates.

Little is known about Dylan’s new record, with Dylan’s press representatives neither confirming nor denying reports of the rumoured release date – but according to Ultimate Classic Rock, the record is set to be released on 20th May, four days before Dylan’s 75th birthday.

Dylan released his 36th album, entitled Shadows in the Night, last year. The record featured tracks made famous by Frank Sinatra. Reports are suggesting that Fallen Angels will be a similar record of covers – a sequel to Fallen Angels if you will.

Along with news of a new album, Dylan is also set to play a 27-date tour of the US through June and July of this year, with support from Mavis Staples. Dylan is also set to tour Japan in April.
