Isle Of Wight Festival announce Live & Unsigned competition

Are you in a band? Do you feel like you haven’t been given your break? Are you stuck on how to get it? Look no further, because the organisers of the Isle Of Wight Festival are about to give it to you.

The winners of this year’s ‘Live and Unsigned’ competition will be awarded with a slot on the main stage, alongside the likes of Queen + Adam Lambert, Stereophonics and Faithless, and will also get the chance to record at the Skinny Mammoth studio.

In order to have a chance of winning, artists must submit an original song of their choice through the festival’s website by Friday 4th March. A team of industry experts will then go through all the applicants and whittle the number down to a final few, who will be invited to play at the Half Moon in London on 29th March. A live judging panel, which will be headed by festival organiser John Giddings, will then choose the winner.

Speaking of the competition, Giddings said: “The festival has an amazing heritage with the acts we’ve had performing over the years, however we are dedicated to supporting new talent. This competition provides winners with an amazing opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people. We’ve always been really impressed by all of the talent who have entered in previous years.”
