One of TV’s biggest comedy hits is getting a long-awaited curtain call.

It was announced at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Pasadena on Wednesday (13th January), that the cast of Friends will reunite on NBC for a two-hour special.

The special is a tribute to legendary comedy director James Burrows, who also helmed series such as TaxiThe Bob Newhart Show and Cheers. Burrows recently shot his 1,000th episode of television. So get your best Chandler impression ready, and don’t worry about being depressed like Ross because the whole cast is involved.

While the special is mainly about Burrows’ whole career, the Friends reunion is obviously a key highlight. All six original cast members— Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer — are on board.

I’m hoping all six will be in same room at same time, I’m not sure we can logistically can pull it off,” NBC chief Robert Greenblatt told reporters.

The special is set to air in the US on Sunday 21st February.
