The Turner Sims Concert Hall is set to hold a gala event in January, celebrating original songs submitted for an upcoming musical about Fidel Castro and the Cuban revolution.

The music venue, which is located at the heart of Highfield Campus, will be hosting an evening of Cuban-inspired fun, as they showcase some of the very best entries for Fidel the Musical.

Music students from all across the UK have written original songs for the show, and visitors will be able to choose which ones should be in the finished musical, with the help of a professional panel of musicians and songwriters.

The event will take place on Sunday 24th January 2016 from 4.30pm-9.30pm. A free Cuban cocktail/Cuban beer is included in the adult ticket price and soft drinks and light refreshments will be available for under 18’s. The bar will also be open for extra drinks.
