The Nuffield Theatre has announced a joint partnership with Wave 105 FM’s Mission Christmas: Cash for Kids campaign.

The cultural venue, which is located at the heart of Highfield Campus, will be raising money for the charitable cause during their festive production of Merlin, which runs from 26th November to 3rd December.

All donations collected during this magical season will support Cash for Kids – a charity which provides support for children aged 0-18 that are living in poverty, disabled, disadvantaged, or suffering from abuse or neglect, by providing opportunities that will engage, spark imaginations, and help increase their self-confidence through art, music and sport.

Due to the alarming figures that around 54,000 children are living in poverty within an hour’s drive of the theatre, the Nuffield also has plans to launch a free ticket scheme for children under the charity’s care.

Speaking of their charitable new partnership, The Nuffield’s Director of Development, Laura Eastwood said:

“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Wave 105FM Cash for Kids to support this important work. 75% of donations made from our theatre bookers will enable Nuffield to launch and run a new partnership with Cash for kids offering free theatre tickets to children in our local community who would not otherwise be able to attend. 25% of the donations will go directly to Cash for Kids to further support their important work across the region.”
Wave 105 Cash for Kids charity manager, Gloria Hill, added: “With Nuffield’s help underprivileged children in the region will have the opportunity to enjoy a performance at their local theatre, something they may not have experienced before.”
Donations can be made online and via ticket bookings on the Nuffield website, or by calling the Box Office: 023 8067 1771.
