Empire Cinemas announce Christmas and New Year Empire Extra line-up

Empire Cinemas have announced an exciting programme of Empire Extra screenings for the festive period, including an eclectic selection of big stage productions and live broadcasts.

Throughout December, Empire will play host to a number of productions including the English National Opera’s inventive staging of The Mikado on 3rd December and the National Theatre’s latest interpretation of Charlotte Bronte’s classic gothic romance, Jane Eyre on 8th December.

There will also be two live productions from The Royal Opera House, including Cavelleria/Pagilacci on 10th December and a festive balletic rendition of The Nutcracker on 16th December.

Meanwhile, in January 2016, Empire will screen MET Opera’s Les Pecheurs De Perles on the 16th, the Royal Opera House’s live rendition of Two Pigeons/Rhapsody on the 26th and the National Theatre’s production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses on the 28th. Finally, on 30th January, the cinema will screen MET Opera’s Turandot.
