Rise of the Tomb Raider gets new gameplay trailer – watch

A new trailer for Rise of the Tomb Raider has been released.

The trailer for the follow-up, which acts as the sequel to 2013’s Tomb Raider rebootpromises a distinct focus on the actual process of exploration and raiding tombs – an activity that was somewhat sidelined as a secondary task in the previous game.

The trailer also showcases the return of all of the features that made the reboot a hit (the bow, the fire-mechanics, the Uncharted-esque bits) whilst simultaneously suggesting that puzzle-solving will be taking  centre stage this time around. Moreover, it’s nice to see the next-gen graphics in full force, and some of that dynamic lighting looks truly stunning.

The game is set to be released on 13th November for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with a PS4 and PC release hitting stores later in 2016. In conjunction with this, the previous game Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, is currently available for free with Microsoft’s ‘Games with Gold’ program on Xbox Live.
