Kit Harington accidentally confirms involvement in Game of Thrones for at least two more years

Warning: Game of Thrones star Kit Harington recently dropped a huge spoiler during an interview with the Belgian magazine Humo.

After several recent sightings in Belfast and another in which the actor was seen filming a battle scene with Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) for the 9th episode of season six, many fans were convinced that Jon Snow would return.

There has been no official confirmation about the actor’s return but this interview may just be enough to prove that Jon Snow is alive and will be a part of the show for the seasons to come. A Reddit user named “the_narc_died” posted the following translation of Kit’s interview online.

Kit: “I often felt frustrated as well. I had to pass on amazing parts because I was attached to Game of Thrones. So the show is like a double-egded sword to me: I owe a lot to it, but at the same time it has almost completely drained me. Oh well, I try not to think about it too much. The important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract, and in the meantime”

Interviewer: “How many more seasons would that be?”

Kit: “Nice try. I can’t talk about that. Let’s just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over. One thing’s for sure: the day I’m no longer onThrones is the day I’ll bury myself in movie projects.”

The 28 year old actor is reportedly filming the sixth season of the show now and if this translation proves true about Harington’s contract, by the time he is in his thirties, the show will be in it’s 8th season, which is pretty exciting. Jon Snow may just be here until the end after all.

In case you haven’t yet caught Jon Snow’s death scene or (for some reason) want to relive it, watch the video below.
