Previously unheard Nirvana demo ‘E-Coli’ surfaces online – listen

A previously unheard Nirvana demo entitled ‘E-Coli’, believed to have been recorded around 1993-1994, has been posted online.

The track clocks in at around nine minutes, sounding more like a jam between band mates than anything else. ‘E-Coli’ still retains that classic Nirvana aesthetic, with guttural guitar playing, thrashing drums and Kurt’s raw incoherent vocals.

A number of Nirvana demos have been released in recent months, following the release of Brett Morgan’s Cobain documentary, Montage of Heck. Morgan had access to the extensive Cobain archives in preparation for the film; unearthing a plethora of early Nirvana demos, solo-tracks by Cobain and recordings from his pre-Nirvana group, Fecal Matter.
