On Saturday night (22nd August), Taylor Swift welcomed a huge cast of A-list celebrities to join her on stage to mark her second set of sold out shows at the LA Staples Centre.

Known for bringing her famous friends on stage to sing with her, Swift first welcomed the legendary R&B singer, Mary J. Blige who performed ‘Doubt’ and ‘Family Affair’. After the show, Blige tweeted: “That was such an amazing experience performing w/ @taylorswift13 at the @STAPLEScenter! Congrats on your historic 1989 Tour!”

Mary J. Blige also joined Swift on stage to perform two of her most famous songs.

Uzo Aduba – the actress best known for her portrayal of ‘Crazy Eyes’ on Orange Is The New Black – then also joined Swift on stage. Aduba sang Swift’s hit ‘White Horse’ from her second album Fearless. The actress sang the vocals beautifully, while Swift supported her on guitar and vocals.

While introducing Aduba, Swift said: “On the show ‘Orange Is The New Black,’ there are so many incredible performances by so many amazing actors and actresses. And there is one actress in particular that has one Emmy and is now nominated for her second Emmy as ‘Crazy Eyes,’ and here’s what you know about this amazing woman: You know she moves you, has the ability to break your heart, and then lift it back up again. What you may not know is that she started out on Broadway and is a spectacular vocalist. Here to sing for you tonight is Uzo Aduba.”

The final guests of the night were comedian Chris Rock, Friends star Matt Le Blanc and model Sean O’Pry (the male star of Swift’s ‘Blank Space’ video) who strutted down the runway to Swift’s ‘Style’.

These guest appearances come after L.A. Lakers star, Kobe Bryant, made a surprise appearance on Friday night, to announce a new banner that recognises Swift’s record breaking achievement of being the most sold-out artist to play at the 20,000-seat arena.
