Following it’s incredible box office success, Disney Pixar have released a sneak peek at a new animated short that will accompany Inside Out’s home release.
The short, entitled Riley’s First Date, reacquaints us with the emotions inside the minds of 12-year old Riley and her parents. A year on from the events of the movie, the short sees a young boy call on Riley while she’s at home – much to the alarm of her Mum and Dad, who immediately begin to probe into the situation. Meanwhile, Riley’s emotions – Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust – have their own views on the matter.
Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader and Lewis Black all reprise their roles as Riley’s emotions, while Kyle MacLachlan and Diane Lane also return as Riley’s parents. Riley’s First Date will be included as a bonus feature when the film is eventually released on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Inside Out is the seventh Pixar movie to cross the $600 million mark at the worldwide box office, following in the footsteps of Monsters University and Toy Story 3. You can read our review of the film here.
