Henry Rollins, Iggy Pop, Grace Jones and Jesse Hughes to star in Gutterdämmerung

Filmmaker Björn Tagemose is setting out to showcase a new concert-film hybrid, entitled Gutterdämmerung.

Gutterdämmerung is not your traditional film-going adventure. The film will primarily be a visual, loud and immersive experience; standing up to witness the spectacle rather than sitting down. Gutterdämmerung will also include a narrator and a live rock band providing the score at each screening of the film.

Four of rock’s greatest musicians have already been announced to be starring in the film, including: Henry Rollins (Black Flag, The Rollins Band), Iggy Pop (The Stooges), Grace Jones and Jesse Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal). Tuesday Cross and Olivia Vinall will also make their big screen debuts in Gutterdämmerung. More historic rock musicians are set to be announced, with the next being revealed on 1st August.

Björn Tagemose recently explained the film’s eccentric plot, which has yet to commence filming: “The film is set in a world where God has saved the world by taking from mankind the Devil’s ‘Grail of Sin’ – the Evil Guitar. From Heaven and punk-angel, Vicious (Iggy Pop), looks upon the world with weary eyes. He sends the Devil’s guitar back to Earth – and sin returns to mankind. An evil Puritan priest (Rollins), manipulates a naïve girl into retrieving the guitar to destroy it. On her quest she’s forced to face the world’s most evil rock’n’roll bastards. She has a rival in the form of a rock chick, determined to stop her.”
