Girl Friend release new single ‘Poison’ – listen

With their EP Arrive Alone set for release next Spring, Manchester four-piece Girl Friend have offered up their latest track, ‘Poison’.

In an interview with The Line Of Best Fit, lead vocalist Amory said: “I suppose it’s another hedonistic piece – but it’s less joyous, more destructive. It’s about someone fervently seeking pain for pleasure.”

The track follows the vibrantly 80s electro-pop inspired ‘Monte Carlo’- which led to the band being likened to vintage pop acts, albeit with the modern influence of Two Door Cinema Club. They released their ambitious debut EP, Everybody Wants To Be Wanted, in August 2014.

Girl Friend are set to headline a show tomorrow at The Sebright Arms, London, along with Tempest, Youth, and Natalie McCool.
