The Strokes guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr has released details of his brand new upcoming album, Momentary Masters. It’ll be the 35-year old’s third solo studio record and will be released on 31st July via Vagrant Records. It comes seven years after his previous solo album, ¿Cómo Te Llama?, which was released in July of 2008.

Momentary Masters was recorded in the Los Angeles-native’s home in New York, in a converted barn he calls One Way Studios. Hammond Jr said of the record: “I feel with the best songs I’ve written, as soon as I was done I was thinking, ‘Oh my God, I did it’. But in that split second that it comes, that feeling goes. It’s the same thing when you find complete happiness, you find this complete low. I feel like that’s what being creative is: it’s you bouncing with emotion and what you capture in those bounces. Accept where you are and use it.”

The full track listing for the album is as follows:8bec42c2

  1. Born Slippy
  2. Power Hungry
  3. Caught By My Shadow
  4. Coming to Getcha
  5. Losing Touch
  6. Don’t Think Twice
  7. Razors Edge
  8. Touche
  9. Drunched in Crumbs
  10. Side Boob

The musician will also be embarking on a headline tour of the UK in November. The tour commences in Oxford on the 16th at the O2 Academy, before travelling to Manchester, Birmingham, Leicester, Glasgow, Portsmouth and Bristol. He will then be heading to the Islington Assembly Hall in London on the 25th and Old Market in Brighton on the 26th.
