Clearly Fifty Shades fans cannot get enough of Christian Grey, no matter how creepy the man can be!

E.L. James’ Grey is the retelling of Fifty Shades of Grey from the perspective of the sexually dominant billionaire Christian and has sold more than 1.1 million copies in the first four days, since its release.

Publisher Anne Messite stated; “This is an astonishing number of books to sell over a weekend and speaks to the engagement and passion readers have for the Fifty Shades books.”

The book’s published, Vintage, has already gone back to the press for fourth and fifth printings of the book, which was released last week after a supposed ‘leak’.

The original trilogy, inspired by Stephenie Meyer’s hugely successful Twilight saga, has sold over 125 million copies worldwide. The first book in the franchise holds the title of the all-time best selling Kindle book, while Grey is set to hold the record for highest pre-ordered book of the year, beating Harper Lee’s anticipated novel, Go Set A Watchman.

It was announced earlier this year that Universal Pictures would be making at least two more films based on the trilogy, which are scheduled for Valentine’s Day releases in 2017 and 2018, respectively. The first film, which was a box office hit, starred Jamie Dornan as Grey and Dakota Johnson as his submissive Anastasia Steele.
