BoomTown Fair and Sunrise Festival join forces

BoomTown Fair have swooped in and saved the day, with the revelation that they will be joining forces with the Sunrise Festival.

Following their announcement on 14th May that the festival wouldn’t be going ahead (citing ‘unforeseen circumstances’ as the dreaded reason), the full Sunrise celebration experience is set to head over to BoomTown, with a new meadow and woodland zone being specially created for the fusion of these two eco-friendly festivals.

Stephen Marley, Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello, Barrington Levy, John Butler Trio, Black Uhuru and Infected Mushroom will join the Matterly Estate’s fantasy labyrinth. Sunrise will also look to enhance BoomTown’s more family friendly and spiritual areas to an immersive new level, far beyond what the shows could have been achieved individually.

BoomTown Fair is a 50,000 capacity fairytale that caters for all musical tastes showcased on some truly jaw dropping stages that include; a 40ft Aztec Temple, a 90ft long pirate ship, fully moving Old Mines and – brand new for 2015 – an immense nine story high Bang Hai Palace.

In a statement, the BoomTown Fair Creative Director, Lak Mitchell said this about the fusion:

Every now and then, in the festival world, those very rare occasions take place when two individual creative communities come together to build something totally unique, special and fully unexpected. Where we get the very best of both worlds and because both BoomTown and Sunrise share such similar values, this collaboration, in this form is exceptionally exciting for everyone involved.

The festival will be held from 13th-16th August 2015. Refunds are available and there are also a limited number of ticket swaps for existing 2015 Sunrise ticket holders still available via The Bristol Ticket Shop. Tier three tickets for BoomTown are also available here.
