Robin Williams makes final on-screen performance in Boulevard trailer – watch

An official trailer for Boulevard – the film containing Robin Williams’ final on-screen performance – has been released.

When the beloved comedian sadly passed 10 months ago, Hollywood was left shaken and the world was put into mourning. He was undoubtedly one of the most beloved actors and entertainers the industry ever had. His performances in the likes of Mrs. DoubtfireAladdin and Jumanji will go down in cinematic folklore, as will his Academy Award winning performance in Good Will Hunting.

In his tragically tinged final performance, Williams stars as Nolan Mack – an ageing husband emotionally struggling with his life. Nolan is lonely – he and his wife live separate lives, they even sleep in different rooms. However, he soon befriends a male prostitute, Leo (Roberto Aguire) who is trying to come to terms with his own homosexuality.

This role is a tender, emotional one that is completely different to the stereotypical comedic role he was most commonly associated with throughout his career.

The film, directed by Dito Montiel, also stars Bob Odenkirk, Kathy Baker and Giles Matthey. While this is Williams’ final on-screen performance, his iconic voice is still set to posthumously appear in Terry Jones’ upcoming comedy, Absolutely Anything, which stars Simon Pegg and is due to be released this August.

Boulevard is released in US cinemas on 10th July, but has yet to receive a UK release date.
