American rockers Kings of Leon, who originate from Nashville, Tennessee, have been announced as the Saturday headliner for the Sziget Festival in Budapest.

Sziget won ‘Best European Major Festival’ in 2014 and is one of the biggest multicultural events in Europe. It started in 1993 and is currently in it’s 22nd year. Each year, 400,000 people from 70 countries are attracted to the venue – a beautiful, picturesque island in the heart of Hungary’s capital. It provides a complete festival experience with a non-stop party, great live concerts and an international community.

Kings of Leon have been on a relentless run since they first emerged in 2003, releasing six studio albums to date, as well as winning Grammys and BRIT Awards and touring the world dozens of times. They join a host of other top artists who will light up Budapest for a whole week in August.

Other artists already confirmed to play at the festival include; Florence & The Machine, Avicii, Ellie Goulding, Limp Bizkit, Alt-J, Martin Garrix, Alesso, Ella Eyre and Jungle.
