Star Wars will be making an appearance at this year’s Comic Con, in San Diego next month.

The panel for the galactic franchise will consist of Kathleen Kennedy – the Lucasfilm president and producer, writer Lawrence Kasdan, and The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams. They will be joined at the event by some currently unidentified special guests in Hall H. Some of these special guests are heavily predicted to be cast members of the upcoming movie.

There will also be a preview of the latest Star Wars collectibles, a display of toymaker’s Hasbro’s line of Star Wars toys, as well as a Star Wars publishing panel, in which authors of the accompanying novels will speak to an audience.

As Star Wars celebrates its 40th anniversary, the company that produced the visual effects for all of the previous movies – Industrial Light & Magic – will also be there to discuss their work from its earliest days and the breakthroughs they have made along the way.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to hit cinemas on 18th December.
