It has been revealed that everyone’s favourite Geordie double act earned a staggering £23,000 per day in 2014.

Ant and Dec have been regulars on our televisions screens ever since they broke onto the scene as PJ and Duncan in Byker Grove.  The duo currently grace our screens on shows such as Britain’s Got TalentI’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Accounts reveal that the 39-year-olds earned £8.4 million from hosting those three shows in 2014. One television source said: “It’s little surprise they are raking it in given they are fronting three of the biggest and most popular shows on TV, with huge ratings to boot. For the big cheeses at the top of ITV, they are worth every penny.”

The pair are currently locked into a deal with ITV which means they can only work for that particular broadcaster. They also reportedly have £10million worth of property between them, including houses in West London where they are famously next-door neighbours.

Additionally, they are set to earn £15million from the sale of Saturday Night Takeaway’s rights to American broadcaster NBC, which will see How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick-Harris front a US version of the show.

Their current success is a million miles away from when they earned just £100 on Byker Grove, and is even further away from their humble beginnings on the council estates of Newcastle.
