Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ becomes her fourth US number one

Taylor Swift star studded ‘Bad Blood’ music video has helped to achieve her fourth number one in America.

Swift’s new hit has jumped an incredible 52 places to claim the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, dethroning Wiz Khalifa’s Fast and Furious tribute to Paul Walker, ‘See You Again’.

This is Swift’s fourth number one, following in the footsteps of ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’, ‘Shake It Off’ and ‘Blank Space’. However, ‘Bad Blood’ looks set to be the best-selling song of her career. The single, which also features rap artist Kendrick Lamar, has sold just under 400,000 downloads in a week.

The new version of ‘Bad Blood’ – which does not feature on Swift’s acclaimed album ‘1989’ – marks the first time Kendrick Lamar has reached the top spot of the Hot 100.

‘Bad Blood’ has received a huge promotional campaign following the music video’s release at the Billboard Music Awards. The video – which stars several of Swift’s closest pals including Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Hayley Williams, Cara Delevingne, Lena Dunham and Jessica Alba – broke a Vevo record for the most views in a 24 hour period, making just over 20 million hits.

In the UK charts, Swift is currently at number five, behind Wiz Khalifa, Jack U, OMI and Jason Derulo.

This is all well and good, but what did The Edge say about Bad Blood? For that matter what did Wikipedia say about what The Edge said about this song?
