Muse have revealed an official lyric video to their new song, ‘Reapers’.
It is the latest song to come from the band’s upcoming album Drones after previous single releases including ‘Psycho’, ‘Mercy’ and ‘Dead Inside’.
The song was first premiered on Saturday at the FA Cup Final and is now available to stream online. Drones is the band’s seventh studio album and the follow-up to their 2012 experimental album The 2nd Law.
Lead singer Matt Bellamy recently told NME that he believed that Drones represented a return to the band’s original musical style:
“On the last album we experimented a lot and did a lot that was outside of our genre. We got into electronic music. Now on this album, we thought it would be good to go back to a more ‘rock’ sound. I can say this: this album is our best album, I haven’t been able to say that for a while, but this album is our best album – so feel free to start on this one, just don’t worry about the others.”
Drones will be released on 8th June via Warner Bros Music.
