It has been confirmed that pop sensations Lady Gaga and Paul McCartney are collaborating on a film soundtrack.

The two stars will feature on the soundtrack of the upcoming animation, High in the Clouds, which is based on McCartney’s children’s book of the same name, published back in 2005.

Rumours about the partnership came flooding in after Gaga posted pictures on Instagram with McCartney.

High in the Clouds, directed by Cody Cameron (co-director of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2), tells the tale of a squirrel who attempts to find an animal utopia.

It is unknown when the track the two have collaborated on will be released.

Watch Lady Gaga work with another legend, Tony Bennett, in support of their jazz album, Cheek to Cheek.
