Basingstoke-based band FlashFires have recently announced that their forthcoming single will be ‘Shy’, which is due to be released for digital download on 30th March. The single is taken from their forthcoming EP which will be out in April.

The EP will be released on the 20th April and will be available both as a digital download and a special edition CD featuring five tracks which were recorded during the band’s time in Sacremento, California along with Tesla’s Brian Wheat and were mastered at Abbey Road studios by Frank Arkwright.

The artwork for the forthcoming EP has been designed by Scott Minshall at Gas Associates, the company behind the recent Blur, Morrissey and David Bowie releases.

Lead singer Alex Gonzato said: “We’re really excited to reveal that ‘Shy’ will be the next single. It’s the first of three singles due in the next few months and we will be celebrating the release with a special show at Lennon’s in Southampton.”

The Southampton single launch party will take place on the Friday 20th March at Lennons. For more information, visit the band’s Facebook page.
