Stan Lee optimistic of Ben Affleck’s Batman

Stan Lee, the former Marvel president, and creator of many beloved comic book series such as Spiderman and The Fantastic Four, has said that he has no problems with Ben Affleck’s casting, even putting in a good word for the actor who has jumped ship to DC Comics:

‘He’s a good actor and I wish him all the luck in the world. He’ll probably do a good job as Batman’

Although it’s not the most enthusiastic of statements, it’s a first in positive opinion for Affleck’s casting, as this follows a backlash of negative comments and articles surrounding his seemingly controversial casting into the DC Comics franchise. In an interview with Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, Affleck said that:

‘[The Studio] said, ‘We want to show you some of the reactions that past cast members have got on the internet’.

He also commented that the initial comments which he had seen were enough to stop him from spending too much time on the internet searching the reactions. I for one think that Affleck could be a good Batman if given the chance. You can read my Features article here.
