Two Door Cinema Club Release New Single ‘Sleep Alone’ As A Free Download

Northern Irish trio, Two Door Cinema Club are giving their new single ‘Sleep Alone’ away for free.

The track was premiered on BBC Radio 1 tonight as Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest record in the world’, and is the first new music from the band since their 2010 album Tourist History, which sold over 1 million copies worldwide. In February, they headlined the NME Awards Tour in which they showcased some of their new material, which received a positive reaction from the crowd. The album was recorded in April in LA with producer Jacknife Lee (U2, Snow Patrol, Bloc Party). 

Talking about their second album Beacon which will be released in the UK on September 3rd, lead singer Alex Trimble said that it would be “a much more intimate record than our first” and also stated that “this is an exciting time for us and we can’t wait to share the songs with everyone.”

The track will be available for free for 24 hours at the band’s website, www.twodoorcinemaclub.com, and will be formally released as a digital download on July 21st, and as a 7″ single on September 3rd.
