Review: Kimberly Anne at The Bridge SUSU (24/11/2014)

Kimberly Anne is the latest act from the coffee house sessions to take to the stage in The Bridge. Hailing from South London, Kimberly already has a support tour with Ella Eyre under her belt, and was part of the Communion News Faces tour, so she’s definitely a name to remember. With an album out in January – Kimberly Anne is an artist to keep an eye out for.

Her short set was packed with sultry, soulful vocals, and catchy choruses. Her voice accompanied by only an acoustic guitar, it meant the full focus was on the young singer and her soaring vocals. The powerhouse really has an incredible voice, and her songs really meant you could hear the best of it.

It’s always hard to get the crowd engaged in The Bridge, people are far too focussed on their chip butties to care completely about the act on the stage, however Kimberly gave it her best shot, continuing to try and engage the crowd even if they weren’t entirely responsive.

A vibrant short set despite the reception of the audience.
