Off the back of his huge new single ‘Silver Heat’, Ten Tonnes aka 19-year-old singer-songwriter Ethan Barnett is embarking on a whistle-stop tour of the UK, including a date at Southampton’s The Joiners on 26th April.
The show comes ahead of the release of his first EP entitled Born to Lose, which is set for a June release. Its songs were recorded and produced earlier this year by Hugo White of The Maccabees, in a session at the band’s tailor-made studio The Drugstore in South London. Though his debut single ‘Lucy’ was more pop-inflected, its follow-up ‘Silver Heat’ shows Ten Tonnes moving towards a more youthful take on British garage-rock.
Joining Ten Tonnes on the night will be Marty Mayhem and the Liabilities, King and Conqueror and Torcoda Fray. This promises to be a night that showcases the best in new British music, and chance to see a rising-star musician in an intimate setting.
