British indie-rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen will be playing at the Bournemouth International Centre on 6th November as part of their world tour.
Formed in 2007 in Wales, the four lads that make up the band have come a long way since their first releases including the popular hit ‘Kathleen’ taken from their debut album The Balcony which reached top ten in the UK Album Chart.
Since their formation and rise to fame, the band have brought a sharp edge back to contemporary rock music. Their songs feature choruses driven by extremely well-played guitars and some great lyrics written either partially or completely by the band members themselves.
The band’s latest album, The Ride, which includes singles such as ‘Glasgow’ and ‘Soundcheck’ was released in May of this year and will be the main focus of the tour. Bournemouth is just one stop on said tour, which will see them play at venues in Chile, Australia and Japan as well as visiting several US states.
In 2014, they played at over 30 festivals in the UK, Europe and USA, so while this isn’t their first tour outside of Britain, it’s certainly their first chance to showcase, to their full potential, their talent internationally. Several of the band’s UK shows have already sold out, including the three gigs in Manchester, as well as those in Plymouth and Derby.
