Twin Atlantic, Scottish rock band formed almost a decade ago in 2007, are back with a bang, having recently announced an autumn headline tour of the UK and Ireland, followed by fifteen European dates.
Known for lyrically powerful tracks such as ‘Free’ (2011) and the more recent ‘Heart and Soul’ or ‘Brother and Sisters’ (2014), Sam McTrusty, Barry McKenna, Ross McNae and Craig Kneale already have three albums and both UK as well as international tours under their belt. Their at times aggressive, at times smooth sound has also wholly made its mark on the festival scene and previously given them the chance to support top artists within their genre, such as The Smashing Pumpkins, My Chemical Romance and Blink-182.
Their tour comes in support of the release of brand new album ‘GLA’. The pre-released track ‘No Sleep’ has already been premiered as the Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1. Produced by Jacknife Lee, who has previously worked with the likes of U2 and R.E.M., ‘GLA’ promises to be a treat. The album is currently available for pre-order and will be out on September 9th.
Twin Atlantic will play at The Pyramids, Portsmouth on October 14th. Tickets for their UK tour can be bought here: http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/Twin-Atlantic-tickets/artist/1402457.
