Having recently been listed as one of the largest and best festivals in Europe, Exit Festival is returning to Novi Sad in Serbia from 7th to 10th July. It will be followed by it’s sister festival, Sea Dance, from 14th to 16th.

Exit won the Best Major European Festival Award in 2013 and remained in the top ten European festivals from 2009 until 2014. The festival boasts numbers of 2.7 million attendees, with visitors from over 60 countries around the world. The origins of Exit are fascinating as it began as a student movement fighting for peace and democracy in Serbia. This makes the festival very unique.

The theme for Exit this year is magic, standing for the atmosphere of the event and the emotion it evokes in the people who attend. The trailer advertises the theme intensely, evoking that the festival is the place where people come together to ‘harness the energy of music, to use the power of love…to create the greatest miracle of our time’, combined with a suspense inducing instrumental.

Big names on the line-up this year include Ellie Goulding, Bastille, The Vaccines, Wiz Khalifa, Stormzy and Sigma. Other artists worth seeing at Exit include Hurts and Tinariwen, plus European names less well known in the UK. More acts are still to be announced, but expectations are high. Previous line-ups have included Guns N’ Roses, Arctic Monkeys, David Guetta, Snoop Dog and Skrillex amongst others.
