If you find yourself taking the short trip on a Red Funnel ferry to the Isle of Wight in the second week of June this summer, the odds are you’ll be heading to Seaclose Park in Newport for Isle of Wight Festival 2016.

The 180 acre campsite that runs along the River Medina will see 60,000 festival-goers grace its fields for four days of great music. The 2016 edition of the festival will be headlined by the legends that are Queen, who will be fronted by former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert, indie-rockers Stereophonics, London-based electronica group Faithless, and the most recently announced headliners, The Who.

There are still many more artists to be announced for this years line-up, but those already confirmed alongside the headliners include the likes of Blossoms, Busted, Everything Everything, Feeder, Iggy Pop, Pendulum, Reverend And The Makers, Sigma and Status Quo. As always, Isle of Wight have catered for everyone, ensuring that any music lover has a band or artist they would be keen to see. And with the Live and Unsigned competition taking place again this year, there will also be a great chance to catch some up-and-comers you might not have heard of before.

Isle of Wight is certainly one of the UK’s premier music festivals, and 2016 promises to live up to its reputation. With many more announcements still to be made in the build up to this years edition, be sure to keep your eyes peeled.
