Preview: Northlane at the Talking Heads

Sydney-based metalcore band Northlane have risen to new heights following the hugely successful and much-anticipated release of Node, their third full-length album, and an appearance at Download 2015.

The new record, which was released internationally on UNFD and Rise Records, is the first to feature new vocalist Marcus Bridge since the departure of Adrian Fitipaldes in 2014; this will also be the first time that the quintet has headlined the UK with their new frontman at the helm. The combination of Northlane’s pre-2014 popularised djent and their more recent tendencies towards melodically-lead technicality should provide an interesting mix of styles for the show.

Also on the bill are support acts Volumes, The Acacia Strain and Hellions, so expect yet more stylistic diversity from this ravishing mix of groove-driven metalcore, thunderous ‘doomcore’ and theatrical hardcore respectively.

This date will be the last of their UK shows. Through most of October the band will tour across most of Europe, visiting just under twenty capital cities, before returning to briefly tour Australia ahead of a gargantuan pan-American tour ending in Orangevale, California.
