Reading has been a staple of the festival season for decades, and this year looks to continue its strong legacy. The typically diverse lineup, headed by Mumford & Sons, Metallica, and The Libertines, is spread across seven stages and caters to all tastes from metal to mariachi.
Pop-Punk fans will be pleased to see some big names across a number of stages on Friday, including New Found Glory, All Time Low, and Panic! At The Disco. Limp Bizkit, Peace, Swim Deep and Django Django are just a few of the others not to be missed. Any metalheads heading for Reading are surely drooling over the Saturday lineup: Proggy messiahs Mastodon, Sheffield screamers Bring Me The Horizon, mysterious Swedish occultists Ghost and the crushingly heavy Gojira are set to be highlights. But, one of the most hotly anticipated sets of the weekend is surely that of the all-girl Japanese pop-metal sensation that is Babymetal. Sunday features artists as diverse as indie kings The Maccabees, hardcore punks Refused, and progressive house overlord Deadmau5.
This year promises to be just as good as those that have gone by over the years, so pack up your tents and wellies and get ready for the best weekend of the year!
