The 13th annual edition of the infamous Download Festival is sure to be another huge success. Held at Donington Park, the festival is the standout place in the UK for rock and metal acts to showcase their talents to over 100,000 thousand rock enthusiasts for each of the three days.

Tickets are available for each day or the whole weekend, with a host of world famous artists gracing the individual stages. On Friday, Judas Priest, Black Stone Cherry, Fightstar, amongst others support arguably the face of metal music, and regular Download returnees, Slipknot.

Going into the weekend, Muse headline the Saturday, bringing a wealth of festival experience, backed up by the likes of Faith No More, Rise Against and the eccentric Marilyn Manson. Although Muse are a very diverse band, they have said that they will be playing ‘heavier stuff’, which I’m sure will be good news to the ears of Download veterans going for that genre of music. The final day showcases some classic heavy rock artists such as Slash and Mötley Crüe (playing their last ever UK festival) – with the weekend culminating with the Paul Stanley/Gene Simmons fronted KISS.

Download Festival runs from Friday 12th June until Sunday 14th. Day and weekend (3 or 5 day) tickets are available, and for those seeking to avoid the standard camping experience there are also quiet camping packages. The infamous RIP package is also still available.
