Indie rock and blues band The Family Rain consists of twins Will and Tim and younger brother Ollie, and has been consistently impressive with steady releases over the last couple of years. Having recently supported Miles Kane and Jake Bugg on tours across Europe and the UK, they’re finally embarking on their own headline tour this week.

Ever since seeing the brothers play an excellent set at Reading earlier this year, I’ve been immensely excited for their upcoming gig at The Joiners. In fact, as soon as I got back home I searched for their tour dates and was pleased as punch that they were playing in Southampton this month.

With such noteworthy tracks as ‘Pushing it’ and ‘Friction’ under their belts, as well as their recent single ‘Feel Better (FRANK)’, this is a gig which is worth the trip to local venue The Joiners this Wednesday.

The band are set to release their debut album Under the Volcano in February 2014.
