When Bloc Party announced their hiatus in 2009, Britain lost one of its defining bands, but now we can finally say that, fresh off the back of their reunion and brand-new album Four, the indie legends are coming to Southampton Guildhall.
As a band that defined a genre with their début album Silent Alarm, and continued to stun with follow-ups A Weekend in the City and Intimacy, it is going to be an unmissable night. Known for their electric live shows, which blend music of countless genres (in an ‘alternative’ manner of course), the band have been sorely missed.
With such hits as ‘Helicopter’, ‘Flux’ and ‘Banquet’ amongst a myriad of other classics, the Bloc’ are sure to impress; their hiatus only making the idea of seeing them once again in their full form even more exciting.
So be sure to be there for the Guildhall’s biggest night of the year!
